The Kansas City Chapter met on Dec. 4 at Trezo Mare Restaurant. Approximately 40 members and guests attended. There were two programs. Adam Jones gave a presentation on his recent trips to Iran, and Chapter Coordinator Steve Fuller talked about his recent trip to Cuba, running the Havana Marathon, and staying in Room 812 of the Lincoln Hotel, the room where the famous Argentine race car driver, Juan Fangio, was abducted in 1958.
The trivia question was: How far out into the Atlantic Ocean does fresh water from the Amazon River flow. The answer was 100 miles.
Our 2016 meetings are set for Fridays at 11 a.m. on March 25, June 24, Sept. 30 and Dec. 2. All meetings will be at Trezo Mare Restaurant in Briarcliff Center.
