With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, 2012 has been a busy year in London. Looking for an alternative venue to the (now very expensive) Royal Automobile Club, we have decided to meet in Maritime Greenwich, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich is home to the Royal Observatory (location of the Greenwich Mean Time Prime Meridian), the Old Royal Naval College, The Queen’s House, and the newly restored Cutty Sark. The National Maritime Museum will also be exhibiting a collection of Ansel Adam’s photographs during this time: Ansel Adams: At the Water’s edge.
