Dr. Mike Kasum gave a talk about his new book, “Fingertrip Travel Guide”

Area Coordinator Lillian O’Leary reports that the next meeting of the Sarasota-area chapter will be on March 27, with lunch at the University Park Country Club. At the Jan. 23 luncheon, Dr. Mike Kasum gave a talk about his new book, which is available online at www.fingertiptravelguide.com. He said those who read the guide can become a traveler instead of a tourist with the travel information. Also at the meeting, members gave anecdotes about their recent travels and enjoyed sharing their travel adventures with like-minded fellow travelers. Some of the members are traveling to China, Myanmar and are taking cruises.

New members who attended the Nov. 16 meeting were Russ Stevens and Tom and Ann Charters. Russ told about his trip to the five Stans; the Charters resided in South America for many years. Don and Nancy Irvine talked about their recent trip to the Baltics. O’Leary, who has now visited 166 TCC countries, showed pictures of a safari which she and her husband enjoyed last May; she also showed photos of a just completed trip to a farm in Tuscany.
