Upcoming Eastern Canada Chapter Presentation: ‘As Far As You Can Go in All Six Directions’

Eastern Canada member Derek Smith
TCC member Derek Smith plans an intriguing presentation for the April 20 Eastern Canada meeting.

Hello World Travelers,

Spring is on the way, and that means our first 2013 TCC Eastern Canada meeting is coming up!

In speaking with several of you, it sounds like there has been no shortage of travel for many of you so far this year! Jane and I recently got back from visiting friends in Shanghai and had a chance to travel further to Xian to see the Terracotta warriors, then Beijing with a side trip 200km away to hike parts of the Great Wall, which was fascinating. Looking forward to sharing our mutual adventures at our meeting next month.

The next TCC Eastern Canada meeting will be on Saturday, April 20, at 12 noon, at 544 King Street West. As those of you know from our previous meetings, it is easy to get to. One block west of Spadina Avenue on King Street West. Across the street is a Starbucks with lots of parking spaces. The name on the building is “The Hive,” which is the name of my company. Please have a look at this Google map link or call me on my mobile phone (416-566-7400) if you need further directions.

The featured speaker will be our own Derek Smith (and Joanne too!). I think you’ll agree that Derek’s topic is intriguing: “As Far As You Can Go in All Six Directions.” The only clue provided by Derek on content is that the food for our meeting should be Mexican. So a lunch will be served with a nominal donation of around $10 each to cover our costs.

Please RSVP your attendance to me at your earliest convenience: rshaver@thehiveinc.com.

Looking forward to another enjoyable afternoon of sharing our mutual passions for traveling. See you soon!

Warm regards,

Rick Shaver, Area Coordinator
