Presentation About International Opium Trade Planned for November 2014 St. Louis Area Luncheon

The next St. Louis Chapter luncheon is set for Sunday, Nov. 9, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at Bravo! Cucina Italiana (15 West County Center in Des Peres, telephone 314-821-2562, www.bravoitalian.com). The program, “Musings of an International Opium Buyer,” will be presented by Robert Kent, now retired, who was for many years a buyer for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals of St. Louis. He will join us at our November meeting and will share some of his travel experiences and insights into the intriguing world of international opium trade.
