Final Plans in Place for September International Meeting in Frankfurt

All the functions of the annual TCC meeting in Germany on Saturday, Sept. 6, will take place at the Inter City Hotel at the Frankfurt Main Rail Station, announces Area Coordinator J. Herbert Goebels. Cost of the seminar and buffet lunch will be $56 or Euro 40, which includes lunch, coffee/tea/soft drinks. The Saturday program is from 11 to 3.

A three-night package for out-of-town guests (Sept. 5-8) includes hotel, breakfast, service and VAT, plus daily sightseeing, at $1,085 or Euro 770, shared; $1,226 or Euro 870 for a single room. The three-night package, excluding the hotel, is $820.

Besides the Saturday program and lunch, the package includes dinner that night at the famous Zum Gemalten Haus. On Sunday the full-day Rhine tour will travel by coach to Ruedesheim for a walk through the “Drosselgasse,” a charming and unique street with many Winestuben restaurants and shops. Then travel by Rhinesteamer along the wine yards and castles, many more than 1,000 years old, to St. Goarshausen, just beyond the Loreley Rock.

Those arriving on Friday can join the group for dinner (not included in the package) at the Restaurant Wertheym (built in 1479), followed by a visit to nearby “Roemer,” the historic heart of old Frankfurt with a diverse block of reconstructed 15th-century houses, once the town hall and coronation palace of the German Emperors.
