The nearest tube station is Southwark on the Jubilee Line. The pub is about a five-minute walk from the station. It is also about a five-minute walk from Blackfriars tube station over Blackfriars Bridge. For those of you who want a bit more exercise, it is about a 15-minute walk from Waterloo station along the south bank of the Thames.
We welcome all members to arrive anytime between noon and 1 p.m. We will include a two-course meal, beer, wine and soft drinks. Orders will be taken at about 1 p.m. A cash bar will be available for spirits. Please set your expectations that this will be a very informal environment and that the food is pub grub rather than haute cuisine. As usual, we look forward to hearing about your travel adventures and advice.
Please RSVP no later than Friday, March 6, 2015 (or earlier if possible) so I can give the pub an estimate of how many will attend. Members are encouraged to invite guests if they wish. This is a perfect opportunity to invite others who might be interested in learning more about the TCC. There are no restrictions as to how well traveled your guests may be. The more, the merrier!
