The Western Canada chapter met on Aug. 28 in Vancouver at the YVR Fairmont Lobby. All attending members either flew in, or took the ferry from the island as we met to welcome new members Elizabeth Fraser and Don Jackson.
Patti van Humbeck compiled a wonderful presentation of her Sub-Saharan overland trip. While we only made it halfway through her journey, it was due to the intriguing questions that surfaced specific to Namibia and Victoria Falls. Patti, we may need a second presentation for the remaining part of your trip!
One of our agenda items centered around a Western Canada hosted weekend get-together in Victoria, British Columbia. Collectively, we decided April 1st and 2nd showcases the beauty of Victoria and the stunning Butchart Gardens. All interested TCC members are encouraged to email coordinator Tim Skeet. This will be a Saturday through Sunday event which will have a TCC dinner on Saturday and brunch on Sunday.
