The TCC United Kingdom Chapter held its spring meeting on Sunday, April 2, at Doggets Coat and Badge, Southbank, London. Our group included UK-based members and well-traveled first-time guests interested in joining the TCC. We also welcomed Armin Schreiner, the Chapter Coordinator for Germany.

Members discussed their recent travels and provided travel advice. Armin spoke about the German club’s activities as well as some information about the Spanish group based in Barcelona. The German chapter of the TCC has invited UK and Ireland members to join them for their next meeting, which will be in Würzburg on Saturday, Sept. 2. Several people present showed an interest in attending

As requested by several members, we held a pub quiz. This quiz covered a range of travel-related questions, from airport codes to explorers to a picture round working out where a local form of transport was located. Our winners were the most international team, which included Per Besson, Ian Grist, Justyna Tworzyldo and Owen Woolcock – well done.

Our next meeting, in addition to the German meeting, will be planned for later autumn. A follow-up email will be sent out to all members and attendees soon with further choices as to specific date and location.

Best regards,

Donna Marsh
