You are invited to join the Desert Chapter of the Circumnavigators Club fall luncheon meeting. See details below. We welcome guests to come and check us out while they are considering membership to our club (founded in 1902 and headquartered in NYC) — an educational and social one for those who have circumnavigated the globe. Refer to our national Web site (www.circumnavigators.org) for information on membership requirements and our Foundation activities, which locally involve raising funds to send an Arizona State University undergraduate on a circumnavigation while conducting a competitive and vetted research project.

2:00-4:00: Lunch and Socializing

What: Presentation on “Air Safety in Our Skies”: A brief history of the Sky Marshal/Federal Air Marshal program and a “peek” into future air safety issues
Who: Presentation by D. C. Circumnavigators Club Chapter member Steve Smith who has served as an instructor in safety matters for the FAA, Transport Canada, and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) throughout the world; concluded his career with the FAA as the National Program Manager for Runway Safety located in Washington, D.C.
Menu: Stuffed Chicken Breast, potatoes, vegetables, dessert, and coffee, tea, or lemonade
Parking: Both self and valet parking are available; valet parking is complimentary, and tips are appreciated
