Our next quarterly meeting of the TCC Charter Chapter (Los Angeles/Orange County) will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, when we return to the popular Lawry’s The Prime Rib for our festive Annual International Holiday Lunch.
Pierre Odier, who previously fascinated us with his intriguing presentation on Gabon, will be our guest speaker and take us on a unique journey to Siberut Island, off the west coast of Sumatra, where he documented the Mentawai people, one of the world’s “vanishing tribes” of semi-nomadic hunter-gatherers.
Lawry’s is located on Beverly Hills’ famous “Restaurant Row” just one block north of Wilshire Boulevard.
