Coordinator Lynn Simmons reports that the New York TCC Chapter’s December meeting was held in the Arabesque Restaurant, which served 25 attendees for an enjoyable North African lunch. At the meeting, Richard Yee reviewed his trip to Kenya and Tanzania, which included a photo safari and an excursion to Zanzibar. He focused on the tourist experience in those countries as well as the cultural history of Zanzibar. Also in attendance was Hung “Saricie” Kuo, a member since 2007 from Taiwan experiencing his first meeting.
Tri-State members also gathered for an evening meet-up at Hurley’s in Manhattan. Several new members were welcomed to their first TCC event. A hot topic was the New York Times’ call for applications to travel to its 52 Places to Go list. We have 325!
