Hello World Travelers,
On April 27 in Toronto, we were very fortunate to have our own Heather Watts present “Traveling in Dangerous Countries,” a fascinating perspective and photo montage centered on Afghanistan, Central African Republic and Libya.
Heather also shared some smart advice regarding “dos & don’ts” to stay safe in dangerous world zones. A warm thank you to Heather for pulling together such a first class “show” for us.
We welcomed longtime TCC member Ralph Barford, who attended his first Eastern Canada meeting ever!
We also had two new enthusiastic provisional members attend for the first time: Mark Holdsworth and Craig Bivand.
For our legendary “Members Share” agenda item, folks recounted a time or event during their travels where they felt the most in danger! Scary plane trips, shake-downs, purse snatches, roadside incidents, etc. were shared in exciting detail!
Remaining 2019 meeting dates: Sept. 14 and Dec. 14.
