On Saturday, Oct. 26, the New York TCC Chapter met at the Russian Samovar Restaurant in Manhattan. Members were treated to a variety of Russian foods at this ethnic restaurant found for us by Joe Rapaport. Speaker and member Paul Couniotakis shared trips he had made to disputed territories in former Russian republics. His pictures showed the devastation of the wars in these areas and the efforts to rebuild. We in the audience learned of places we had no inkling even existed.
The next meeting will be on Saturday, Dec. 7. The speaker will be guest John L Lin, who will share his trip to Antarctica.
