Hello World Travelers,
Our topic: Running marathons in Exotic places around the world. To hear from Gloria McCoy and Steve Fuller sharing particulars about their races was amazing.
Particularly the conversations about the Pyongyang North Korea Marathon — which is about as unusual and exotic you can get!
Also hearing them recounting their runs during their travels like Gloria’s early morning runs through cities like Casablanca, Athens (in the original Olympic stadium), and a very early run around a sleepy abandoned St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican.
Steve’s stories about his runs at base camp Everest, Greenland, Mongolia and Saudi Arabia to name a few of his 234 marathons.
We were also fortunate to have TCC President Tim Skeet (and fellow Canadian) addressed the group. We were also fortunate to have several members from the Northern and Southern California Chapters join us, which we fun.
TCC Canada 2021 Meeting/ Zoom Call Dates:
Given the fluid nature of not knowing how long we will be limited to Zoom calls (without actual physical meetings), we are only going to schedule our get togethers for the first half of the year.
As such, please mark your calendars with the follow Zoom calls:
- Saturday. Feb. 27 at noon EST
- Saturday, May 15 at noon EST
