The new TCC Chapter based in Naples, Florida, met for the first time and in person on April 21 at a beach club to get acquainted. Our first meeting was attended by John Deppman, Barbara Freiberg, Pamela Girtman, William (Bill) Girtman, Donna Suddeth and Maureen Trese.
After initial discussions deciding how often (factoring in Naples’ seasonality) and where to meet and a format, the talk turned to travel. We were impressed with John’s 160+ count and learned about John and Bill’s travel in Nigeria as they compared notes. Then we marveled at Maureen’s 212 country count. We all bemoaned the fact that our international travel plans were all canceled last year and put on hold this year.
We are a small group but expect to attract more members in the Naples area. However, we also appreciated the fact that being small really allows us to get to know one another and fully share our travel adventures.
