The Southwest TCC Chapter held two Zoom meetings in the first half of 2021. In March, members shared some of their favorite animal experiences. Buz and Beverly Nason talked about a five-hour bushwhacking mountain trek they did in Rwanda to see mountain gorillas with suckling babies. Buz was 84 at the time! Carol Dobson and John Christofordis told of seeing polar bears north of the Arctic Circle. Our May meeting focused on unusual international museums.
Many members were excited to have travel plans now that COVID is more under control. The chapter continues to meet via Zoom every second month on Sunday afternoons.
The Southwest Chapter had our first in-person meeting in September in Phoenix. The meeting featured speaker Fred Krakowiak, a leading wildlife artist, author, and safari expert. He was an engaging speaker enjoyed by all attending.
The next meeting will be a Zoom meeting on Sunday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. Mountain Time.
