Hello TCC Members in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada and Alaska,
You are invited to an “in person” Travelers Century Club meeting on Wednesday, April 20, at the National Nordic Museum, near the locks in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood at 2655 NW Market St. Our meeting will take place from 1 to 2:15 p.m. in the museum’s Freya cafe. If you have traveled to a Nordic country please bring a traveling anecdote to share from your visit there. There will be an optional self-serve lunch gathering in the cafe before the meeting, starting at 12:15. Following the meeting there will be an optional tour of the museum (details below).

COVID Protocols: You will need vaccine proof, or negative COVID status proof within 72 hours, and masks are required indoors.
Museum entrance: Entrance to the Freya cafe does not require museum admission. Museum admission is optional, and it is $20 for adults and $16 for seniors (>65). If eight of us are interested in a docent-led tour after our meeting, we can get discounted admission, including the tour: $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, payable to me. I’ll send a reminder two weeks before, and we can test the water with respect to COVID and variants. I would like an RSVP at that point, letting me know if you are coming for the meeting, and if you are interested in a guided tour.
If you haven’t been to the museum, be prepared to be delighted by a small, but beautiful, high-quality museum that serves as a community gathering place sharing Nordic culture by exhibiting art and objects, preserving collections, and providing educational and cultural experiences from Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish Americans.
