Charter Chapter Returns to Same Site with Same Speaker… After Two-Year Delay!
Guest Speaker Bill Altaffer “hip-hopped” his way around the Horn of Africa (see more photos below)
Returning, two years later, to the site where we were the first TCC chapter forced to cancel an in-person meeting due to the corona virus, the Charter Chapter (Los Angeles/Orange County) gathered at the Mozambique Restaurant in Laguna Beach, California, on March 12, 2022, with our originally-scheduled speaker as well!
On a lovely, sunny day (across the street from the beautiful Pacific Ocean), 45 TCC members and their guests met and were introduced to incoming TCC President Steve Fuller for the first time. We also welcomed ten guests, including visitors from Indiana and Minnesota who enjoyed the warm Southern California weather.
Popular presenter Bill Altaffer (“The World’s Most Traveled Person”) kept his promise to speak after a two-year wait and provided a fascinating program on The Horn of Africa. With slides and stories from his trip to Ethiopia, Somaliland and Somalia last summer, Bill captivated the audience with his continuing adventures.
