Forty-five travelers attended the Northern California Chapter’s luncheon at the Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco on Saturday, Sept. 21. Coordinator Margo Bart honored Lucinda Hayden who attained full membership; Tom Hixson received his silver certificate for 150 destinations, and Linda Rose Victoire Byers received her platinum certificate for 250 destinations in celebration with a dozen family and friends!
Husband and wife team Nancy Webb and Jack Mormon presented photos from their expedition to little-visited South Polynesian Islands. Stories about Pitcairn and Easter Islands were most entertaining, but it was the pristine beauty of the Austral Islands that made us start planning our next adventure in paradise.
