Chapter Coordinator Phyllis McGuire reports that chapter members gathered on Oct. 17 to hear Vanessa Petsuch share her pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago with her husband and four friends. Vanessa talked about the route requirements and showed photos of the French route they took through northern Spain before reaching the cathedral at Santiago de Compostela, the burial site of the Apostle Saint James. She brought her Camino passport with stamps acquired along the way and a copy of her beautiful pilgrimage certificate written in Latin.
Member Patricia Horgan shared that she had recently walked the Camino Portugues Coastal Way with sections near the Atlantic Ocean. Her experiences were similar to Vanessa’s.
