Details Announced for May 2025 Northeast Florida/Southeast Georgia Chapter Meeting in Jacksonville

Greetings and I hope everyone is now celebrating spring with travel and other pursuits!

I’m excited to announce that we’re planning to have our next Northeast Florida/Southeast Georgia TCC Chapter meeting on Monday, May 12, at 11:30 a.m. at the Seasons 52 restaurant in Jacksonville. At this venue we’ll enjoy having a private dining/meeting room with dedicated audio/visual equipment. The restaurant features a rotating menu of seasonal American dishes alongside international wines in an upscale setting.

Seasons 52 is conveniently located in the St. Johns Town Center area just a few minutes off I-295; 5096 Big Island Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32246; 904-645-5252. This Jacksonville-area location is easily accessible to TCC members on the Florida/Georgia I-95 corridor as well as central Florida locations such as Palm Coast, St. Augustine, Gainesville, The Villages and Orlando. Everyone who has been attending our last few meetings at this location was very happy with it. I hope you can join us for this meeting!

Our featured presentation at this meeting will be “Exploring the Beauty of the Balkans,”  presented by Paul “Cos” Cosgrave and his wife Robin Williams. Cos and Robin are retired business executives (2019) who held senior management positions in information technology, government, and finance. Today, they travel internationally for roughly half a year and manage a professional travel blog, CosGuide4travel.com. Cos has visited every state in the USA. They live in Ponte Vedra Beach outside of Jacksonville when they aren’t traveling. More about Cos and Robin:

“Years of business trips and occasional one-week vacations gave us a sample of destinations we vowed to someday return and seriously visit, not as tourists but as travelers. We love to learn about the people, the First Nations settlers, the culture, the food, and the history of the places we visit. We tend to take long trips, sometimes three months in length. In 2023, the highlight was 86 days, starting in New Zealand, where we had initially planned to get married in 2021 (COVID kept us out), visiting Australia, Japan, and much of Southeast Asia (Bali, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand). Last year, as part of a three-month journey, we visited Greece, the Balkans, England, Spain, and Portugal and ended in Paris for the Olympics. We are provisional TCC members but will cross the century mark this year, adding 21 and 25 new countries, respectively. We have already been inspired by the insights of TCC members, their itineraries, and their learnings, and we look forward to hearing many more stories and getting great ideas.”

As always, members will also be able to report on their latest and upcoming travel experiences with fellow travel enthusiasts while enjoying a light lunch. Dress is casual, and everyone will be responsible for their own check. Please RSVP by email to Chapter Coordinator Susan Rosenberry (crus.sun@gmail.com) about your attendance as soon as possible, but no later than May 9 so that we can have enough seating.

Whether you live in the Northeast/Central Florida or Southern Georgia area or in another part of Florida, you are welcome to join our luncheon meeting. We look forward to sharing “Around the table, around the worldl.” Suggestions for special topics, guest speakers, presentations and possible venues for future meetings are also encouraged.
