We enjoyed a scrumptious Indian buffet lunch on Saturday, Jan. 17, at Mela Restaurant in the South End of Boston. Our members shared stories of recent and upcoming travels, along with some of their favorite destinations around the world.
We were especially honored to have Arvi Bahal with us. Having visited every UN-recognized country on the planet, both the North and South Poles, skydived over Mount Everest, and most recently traveled into space with Blue Origin, Arvi generously shared his extraordinary experiences.
We all sat on the edges of our seats as Arvi described the emotional power of seeing the infinite blackness of space, half the world on the fragile planet we call home, and the immense moon through the spacecraft window.
Included here are a few photos from the lunch, along with a link to a video of Arvi’s space flight for those who may enjoy watching it.
Sending our very best, and we look forward to seeing you at future gatherings. Wishing you all safe and happy travels in the year ahead!
All our best!
