A Virtual Journey to Canada’s Least Visited National Park Planned for April Meeting in Toronto and Via Zoom

Hello World Travelers,

Looking forward to welcoming you to our first TCC Canada meeting of 2026: Saturday, April 25, at noon EST at the Hive offices in downtown Toronto (950 Dupont St. Suite 300).

Again, for those members who reside outside the southern Ontario region, we will be offering a virtual meeting option with a Zoom call scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. start.

I look forward to receiving your RSVPs. Please let me know if you would like to attend in person or via Zoom. I will send out a link for the meeting as we get closer to the day.

Excited to report that legendary TCC Canada presenter Joseph Lee will be joining us as keynote speaker.

Joseph asks the question: Have you ever been to Quttinirpaq?

In 2025, he went!

Possibly a first for a TCC meeting: a country that everyone has got checked off, but a place no one else has visited?

Quttinirpaq: Top of the World. The second largest National Park in Canada, and the least visited. Quttinirpaq is located in the north of Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, the northernmost island in Canada.
Often called the horizontal Everest, and, according to the New York Times, it has the highest misery-per-visitor ratio in the world!

Joseph also says: “I look forward to sharing my suffering and adventures with you, and making the case that Nunavut should count as a TCC territory!”

A reminder of future TCC Canada 2026 meetings:

  • Saturday, Sept. 19
  • Saturday, Dec. 5

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Warm regards,

Rick Shaver
TCC Canada Chapter Coordinator
