Separation of St. Kitts and Nevis Expands TCC List to 330 Countries & Territories

We are pleased to announce the addition of one new destination to the Travelers’ Century Club list of countries and territories. Our list now stands at 330.

The TCC board recently approved a proposal to split the Caribbean island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis into two separate entities on the TCC list, with Nevis being added as a separate destination.

This change has been on our watch list for some time, owing to Nevis’ past close secession votes and ongoing secession sentiment. While no actual political separation has occurred, we feel that Nevis qualifies as a distinct destination under the TCC’s federation rule, which admits certain constituent parts of federations. The definition is narrow — it does not extend to the Länder of Germany or the states within Argentina, for example — but it does allow for constitutional monarchies within federations; hence, Nevis will now count separately from and in addition to St. Kitts.
