Three hundred thirty-eight members voted on the 2024 global conference destination, and Ponta Delgada, Azores, was the membership’s choice with 107 first place votes and 27.8 percent of the weighted vote. Proposal requests will be sent to hotels, restaurants and meeting space around Ponta Delgada in an effort to accommodate a large conference and provide availability for April or May 2024.
Baku, Azerbaijan, placed second with 92 first place votes (23.5 percent weighted) and Taipei, Taiwan, had 67 first place votes (19.4 percent weighted). In a near-tie for fourth place, Capetown, South Africa, posted 34 first place votes (14.2 percent weighted) while Amman, Jordan, had 37 first place votes (15.1 percent weighted). Baku is the first runner-up should the location need to be moved for any reason. A firm date and location will be announced as soon as possible.
