For our most recent TCC Oceania/Australia Chapter meeting, we meet in a well-situated apartment in South Perth with a stunning view of Perth across the river for a hybrid meeting. (A small group of us were en route to Christmas Island and Cocos Keeling Islands.)
Our Perth member, Bev along with her husband Lloyd presented some stunning and striking photos from their many varied and interesting trips. Thank you, Bev and Lloyd, for the interesting backstories and photo tips. Such a wonderful collection.
Anthony, Sofian and Max from Cycling Frogs presented on their exciting travels on bicycles from France all the way to Oman. Sonia’s chance encounter with Max’s mum at the iconic Ecomusée of Alsace made this possible. Thank you, Sonia.
After the online meeting, the Perth contingent were treated to Tarte Flambée, a dish from Alsace in France, along with a Grazing Platter and special Western Australian wine. What a treat. Thank you, Sonia and Bev. Sherri Donovan from the NY Chapter was our special guest as she was going with us on our Christmas Island/Cocos (Keeling) Islands trip.
It was our loyal and most esteemed member David Horne‘s last meeting with us. Thank you, JoAnn, for joining to say farewell. On Dec. 13 I will just be returning from my trip to New Zealand to see David and will provide an update at that time.

1. Christmas / Cocos Keeling Island
Detlef will tell us about the special Birds and Animals of Christmas Island (most, if not all that we encountered). I will share tip-bits on the islands themselves along a hit of history. Others from our trip can supplement the materials as required.
2. Island Hoping from Samoa
Susan will tell us briefly about her island hoping trip with Melanie.
