An Invitation to the December 2014 SoCal Luncheon in Beverly Hills

Southern California members are reminded that the December lunch at Lawry’s in Beverly Hills this year is on the first Saturday — December 6 — not the second Saturday as is our custom. Speaker Deborah Lindholm will talk about her travels to Liberia . She is the Founder & CEO of the Foundation for Women, which is dedicated to eliminating global poverty by creating and funding microcredit programs globally and locally. Programs have been funded in India, Zambia, South Africa and Niger. She holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. She is a frequent speaker nationally and internationally regarding microcredit and the empowerment of women and girls. She has been the recipient of a number of prestigious awards highlighting outstanding work in the nonprofit sector and was inducted into the San Diego Women’s Hall of Fame in 2006.

Please note: As has been the practice at all Southern California lunches, wine is included with the lunches, not during the “No Host Cocktails” period preceding the lunch. There was some confusion about this policy at the September Laguna Beach lunch, even from some who have attended TCC meetings for many years.
