The United Kingdom and Ireland TCC Chapter held our autumn 2024 meeting at Al Phoenic, with 16 members and guests in attendance. Many members were defeated by the weather and/or failed trains, sadly causing them to miss a delicious Lebanese feast. We were pleased to be able to welcome first-time attendees, new TCC members, and long-time devotees.
After our spring meeting with Tony Wheeler, we decided not to have a speaker immediately following. Instead, we heard from each member’s travels and shared useful information. Other TCC chapter events were re-introduced, including the TCC Oceania and New York Chapters, as well as a mention of the global meeting being planned in Istanbul sometime in 2026.
We also discussed planning for future meetings as we are currently facing many challenges, including the cost of a venue with private meeting space, ongoing transport challenges on a Sunday, and the possibility of holding one of our 2025 meetings outside of London. A separate email will be sent to members asking for opinions and any further suggestions in November.
The United Kingdom and Ireland Chapter will meet again in Spring 2025, with the date options to be provided in early January latest. We hope to see you there.
Best regards,
Donna Marsh
