Dear TCC Travelers!
One thing is certain about travel; it’s filled with uncertainties and our planning for the 2026 International Conference is no exception.
As we excitedly launched plans for Istanbul, things became more and more expensive. Hyperinflation, currency fluctuations, and difficult payment terms conspired to elevate costs. A value we honor is to ensure our TCC conferences are financially accessible to members, and Istanbul has become less and less attractive. Disappointing.
We turned our attention to Bali and Hanoi, our runners-up. As you recall, the vote for these destinations was very close and both were supported by many of our members, so we felt empowered to pursue alternatives. After careful consideration and evaluation of many options, Hanoi’s Meliá Hotel is the selected venue, and our conference is scheduled for April 30 to May 5, 2026.
This 5-star hotel is in the heart of Hanoi and walking distance from the picturesque Old Quarter. A sampling of the sightseeing includes walking and cyclo tours (rickshaws powered by a guide on a bicycle) of the picturesque Old Quarter, museums, temples, historical places of interest, and cooking classes. Remember to bring an extra suitcase for shopping … there are bargains galore! For an additional cost, there will be an optional pre- or post-conference one-night excursion to Ha Long Bay, including an overnight on a junk boat that cruises this spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hanoi’s location also makes it an ideal spot to add on pre and post-conference trips in the region.
Citizens of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and many other countries may apply online and receive an eVisa within about a week. While visa requirements are subject to change, it’s good to know the current process is quite realistic.
