Report From the June 2025 Charter Chapter Luncheon at the Historic Tam O’Shanter Inn

Forty-five TCC members and guests met at the historic Tam O’Shanter Inn in Los Angeles, California on June 14 as the Charter Chapter honored three “new-level” honorees and a new Full Member

Linda Burns was welcomed as a New Member and, simultaneously, as a Silver Level (150 destinations) achiever. Joining her in receiving the Silver status certificate was Meganne Behle while Julie Boyd was recognized for her Gold Level (200 destinations) achievement.

We were also honored to have two visiting chapter co-coordinators joining us on a sunny Southern California afternoon—Sherri Donovan (New York) and Philippe Izedian (New England).

Adventure traveler Matthew Allison took us on a journey to Mali as he contrasted his 2013 trek across Dogon Country with his most recent visit to the fabled city of Timbuktu and the current travel safety issues in the country.
