The Colorado Chapter had a good turnout at our meeting on Jan. 21. Jim Downs, a longtime TCC member and a great photographer, showed beautiful photos of his travels last year in the Philippines, Palau and UNESCO sites in northern Thailand.
In March, we met again at our favorite Chinese restaurant on St. Patrick’s Day. Corned beef and cabbage were not on the menu, but we welcomed some new travel enthusiasts in spite of the snow. We were privileged to have Bonnie O’Leary attend. Bonnie started the Denver Chapter nearly 27 years ago, and we have missed her presence in the past year.
Richard Lion spoke of his travels in Darjeeling, Sikkim and Bhutan last year, and showed photographs of those interesting destinations.
The next meeting will be held on May 19 and our speaker will be a local woman who, as a young woman, backpacked alone through more than 30 countries and has written a book about her adventures.
