Details Announced for April 22 Eastern Canada Chapter Meeting

Hello World Travelers,

I am excited to share details regarding our first TCC Eastern Canada meeting of 2017!

I hope your travels have been rewarding, interesting & fun.

Jane & I just got back from Myanmar – wow, what an exotic country worth visiting. If you wish, have a peek at a YouTube video link below of our trip to get a flavor of this wonderful destination.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, April 22, at noon at The Hive office – 544 King St. West.

As usual, we will arrange for a light lunch with a nominal charge. Please be kind enough to RSVP your attendance to me in the immediate future so we can plan refreshments accordingly.

Our distinguished guest speaker: Eastern Canada TCC’s own Colin Stephenson!

Colin Stevenson explores “Our changing world and asks: when is change a positive force? When is it not?”

“Exciting new architecture; the destruction of historical sites. Bold new developments; population displacement and environmental degradation. Discovering hidden gems; the dangers of mass tourism… Colin will cite examples from around the globe, including Central Asia, the Middle East, West Africa, Central America, and Europe.”

Our April 22 meeting interactive feature:

Please come prepared to share a memorable plane ride you have taken. Scary flight, people you met aboard, unusual take-offs, landings and turbulence. Re-routed flights and crazy occurrences – we want to hear about the one that sticks out in your mind as most memorable for whatever reason! If you have a photo, memento, or boarding pass – bring them along to help illustrate and tell the story.

Don’t forget to RSVP your attendance by email when you can, and look forward to once again, sharing our passions for travel.

Warm regards,

Rick Shaver, Eastern Canada Chapter Coordinator
