The Northeast Florida/Southeast Georgia TCC Chapter gathered in Jacksonville on Feb. 2 for a lunch meeting featuring a presentation by Olivia Carter-Pokras, a TCC member from the Washington, DC Chapter. Olivia and her husband Bob Pokras shared tips and highlights from their trip last year to Mauritius, Reunion and Madagascar. She also provided information on tour operators they’ve used and strategies for using hotel and airline points/miles to get more affordable airfare or hotel stays.
Our chapter was also proud to honor two chapter members — Paul Cosgrave and his wife Robin Williams. Both attained full TCC membership with 100 or more TCC countries/territories and were presented with their certificates at the meeting.
Another highlight and fun part of our meeting is when each member shares recent and future trips. Many interesting destinations in Asia, Australia, Africa, South America and Europe are on the itineraries with transportation by land tours, cruises and trains.
