Sixteen members of the Mediterranean TCC Chapter met in Beirut, Lebanon, for the first time on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2026. Members enjoyed a four-day weekend, starting with a tour around Lebanon. On day one, the intrepid travelers drove through the Bekaa Valley with stops at the Temple of Jupiter at Baalbek, Anjar, and Lebanon’s oldest winery at Ksara. Day two was equally action-packed with stops at Jeita, Harissa, Cedars, Qadisha Valley and Byblos, with Beirut city center and surroundings filling up day three.
The meeting on the last day included members presenting their latest travels, a discussion about the trendy topic of what should constitute travel, and proposed inclusions to the TCC list, which will be communicated to the TCC Board.
The meeting wrapped up with Hakkari, Turkey, selected as the venue for the Mediterranean Chapter’s 2026 annual meeting. Hakkar is a predominantly Kurdish region situated in the far southeastern part of Turkey.
