Presentation About Bhutan at the March 2019 New York Chapter Meeting

Dear Club Members,

I am pleased to invite you to attend the next meeting of the New York TCC Chapter on Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m.

At the meeting my cousin, Dick Corwin, will share his trip to Bhutan, which he made with his wife Bonnie in September of 2013. Bhutan is fascinating with its national dish of chili cheese, the national animal the takin, prayer flags flying from high Himalayan peaks, black and white yaks grazing, and a challenging climb to the Tiger’s Nest. In addition, they had special experiences, including a visit to a home for a ritual ceremony in the household shrine and a visit to another home to view beautiful traditional textiles, a special interest for Bonnie.

Joe Rapaport has found our restaurant, Darbar, at 152 East 46th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues (see www.darbarny.com).

The cost of the meal including private room, tax, and tip is $40. Please bring the exact amount in cash to the restaurant.

Using the email address (NYTCC@aol.com) or phone (631-669-2224) have a firm reservation to me by Sunday, March 17. When you reply in the affirmative, I REALLY need you to let me know if for some reason you can’t honor your commitment. The restaurants hold me accountable.

Sincerely,

Lynn  Simmons, New York Chapter Coordinator
