‘Dangerous Countries’ on the Agenda for April 2019 Eastern Canada Chapter Meeting in Toronto

Hello World Travelers,

I look forward to seeing everyone at our 1st 2019 meeting on Saturday, April 27, at noon at The Hive office (544 King St. West).

As usual, we will arrange for a light lunch with a nominal charge. Please be kind enough to RSVP your attendance to me in the immediate future by email so we can plan refreshments accordingly.

We are very fortunate to have our own Heather Watts as featured speakers. The theme of her talk is:

Visiting the Most Difficult and Dangerous Countries
Afghanistan, Libya and Central African Republic
Have you ever dreamed of visiting the really difficult and dangerous countries in the world but been reluctant to try? In this presentation, Heather Watts will review her recent trips to three of the most difficult and dangerous countries in the world and include some tips on how to approach travel in countries that many deem not worth the risk. Every country has more to offer beyond what is portrayed by the media and while there may be some risks involved, the rewards are great.

And … for our famous interactive part of the agenda … and in keeping with our meeting theme … share a time or event during your travels where you felt the most in-danger!

See you soon!

Warm regards,

Rick Shaver, Eastern Canada Chapter Coordinator
