Introducing Stefan Krasowski: Our New TCC Board Member

Stefan Krasowski teaches travelers, speaks at travel conferences, and blogs at Rapid Travel Chai. He is an expert in rewards credit cards, airline, and hotel programs, specializing in using
points for exotic and remote destinations.

A native of Minneapolis, Stefan is a graduate of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He got his traveling start on student exchange programs in Shanghai and Hong Kong. He visited every province in China, taking overnight buses and trains as soon as classes finished. In China, he worked in international business development for a decade, becoming fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

There was a moment in Baku in 2009 when Stefan looked at the cost to arrange a trip to Nakhchivan and said, “No, I am not getting hooked on this TCC list.” In 2016, Stefan visited Nakhchivan. He is now at 303 TCC destinations.

Most recently, Stefan visited Socotra Island, Yemen, leaving him only one UN country left to visit: Syria. While waiting on that, he has recently become interested in the US National Parks and Presidential Libraries, taking a number of US road trips. His favorite US trip this year was the “Aleutian Island hopper” route between Homer and Dutch Harbour on the Alaska Marine Highway System, that visits various small communities stretching from the forests of Kodiak to the towering volcanoes of Unimak.

Stefan is currently based in Seattle, where he helped launch the TCC Pacific Northwest Chapter.
