Details Announced for November 2019 Indiana Chapter Meeting

The next meeting of the Indiana TCC Chapter is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Seasons 52 restaurant. It is located at 8650 Keystone Crossing, which is close to I-465 on the north side of Indianapolis. TCC members and other avid travelers are invited.

We are pleased to have chapter member Denny Grandl back for another engagement. His topic will be “Vanishing Cultures: The Hill Tribes of Far Northern Vietnam.” He delivered an outstanding presentation on Burma in February 2018.

Denny and his wife Debra are incurable global wanderers. Travel and photography have always been a wonderful counterbalance to the pressures of the corporate world for Denny. Debra and Denny started off their married life living and working in Saudi Arabia for over 5 1/2 years in the 70s. This provided the opportunity to visit places like Afghanistan, Iran, and Syria that are nearly impossible to visit safely today. For the past decade, they have enjoyed wandering through remote parts of the world where they enjoy meeting and photographing local indigenous people and cultures before they completely disappear. He has spoken to other TCC chapters, and I am told that his slides are National Geographic quality. As a side note, Denny and Debra are TCC members who moved in 2018 to Cincinnati from Arkansas. Since there is no local TCC chapter in Cincinnati, he attends the meetings in Indianapolis.

Happy travels,
