Franco-U.S. Relations the Focus of May 2012 Meeting in Philadelphia

The latest meeting of the Philadelphia TCC chapter was held on Sunday, May 20, at a local Portuguese restaurant, Koo Zee Doo. Fourteen members were in attendance to celebrate the chapter’s three-year anniversary, and to dine on the fixed three-course menu while hearing presentations on the Explorers Club and Circumnavigators Club by Sheila and Jim Forney, who are TCC members who also belong to the other two organizations. Differences, objectives, and membership requirements for all three organizations were discussed at length, and member questions addressed.

New chapter member Mary Vane joined the group for her first meeting, and a hearty welcome to her.

The next meeting of the chapter will be held on Sunday, September 30, at 5 p.m. at Sazon, the only Venezuelan restaurant in the Philadelphia region, located at Tenth and Spring Garden Streets in the Loft District. The guest speaker will be Danielle Easton, the official local representative for the French government who will be speaking on her role in furthering Franco-U.S. relations in the tri-state area. Those interested in attending should RSVP no later than Sept. 23 to jane.berryman@raymondjames.com.
