  • May 2024 NorCal Chapter Lunch Featured the Travel Adventures of a Globetrotting Harvard Undergrad

On May 11, 37 members and guests attended the Northern California Chapter’s luncheon. We met at Lara’s Fine Dining in the Richmond Marina and enjoyed excellent camaraderie and a delicious meal. Our featured speaker, Harsh Sinha, gave a talk titled “How to Travel to 100+ Countries While in College.” It was fascinating to learn how Harsh planned his courses to optimize his time away from school so he could travel all over the world while maintaining a 3.75 GPA at Harvard. At the age of 22, Harsh held the distinction of being the youngest person in the world to visit 100 U.N. countries and all 50 U.S. states.

Harsh concluded his presentation by describing his recent visit to Tanzania’s Hadzabe tribe. This is one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes, and Harsh had a rare opportunity to accompany them on a hunt with bows and arrows.

The next TCC NorCal luncheon will be at the Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco on Saturday, Sept. 21.
