I am happy to report that we had a great TCC Canada meeting on August 27th in Downtown Toronto. We had 18 members in attendance, including first time attendees Mr. & Mrs. David Bennett.
A special thanks goes to our feature speaker, Merrill Carmichael, who gave us a fantastic talk and slideshow about her trip to Antarctica. Merrill really made her presentation come alive with some interesting documents, props and mementos of her trip. Although Lynn Lim (our restaurant coordinator) tried really hard to find us a restaurant that would fit into our meeting theme, alas no Antarctica restaurants were to be found, so we settled for a catered sushi lunch instead.
Our next meeting is Saturday, Nov. 26, at 12:30 p.m. Our theme, speaker and location will be forthcoming and posted here on the TCC Eastern Canada area update Web page.
