Since my two-year term is expiring in December, this will be my final President’s Message.
First, I would like to acknowledge and thank the excellent and hard-working Officers and Board of Directors. Through them, we have made a number of accomplishments during the past two years.
Among those are the addition of new chapters in Canada and Germany and the beginning formation of a chapter in San Diego. Also, the Texas chapter was revived. We have added a Speakers Bureau, a Committee on Technology, and a Committee on Continuity to ensure that the Club continues even in the unforeseen death or incapacitation of our hard-working Chairman Klaus Billep or any Officer or Director. We have also introduced an interactive Web site, which is getting a significant amount of use, and a social networking Members Forum.
I have personally not been able to visit as many chapters as I had hoped. On the other hand, I just returned from a trip that included Abkhazia, which completed my visit to all 321 destinations on the current TCC list.
I hope to continue to serve on the Board and look forward to a bright future for the TCC.
