The Philadelphia Chapter of the TCC met on Sunday, Sept. 29, at Cypriot restaurant Kanella for a multi-course feast of Mediterranean delicacies and to hear a program on International House, given by I.H. Board Chair Jim Papada. International House Philadelphia is one of 23 International Houses around the world, and the Philadelphia House bears the distinction of being the oldest one in existence. It hosts broad film, language, and educational programs.
The 13 members in attendance welcomed new TCC recruit Ajay Anand, a recent Wharton graduate who joined the TCC just weeks before the meeting. The members also congratulated Chapter Coordinator Jane Berryman on recently achieving the Gold Level by visiting her 201st country (Samoa) this summer.
The chapter’s next gathering will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 at Abyssinia, an Ethiopian restaurant at 226 S. 45th Street in University City. The featured speaker at that gathering will be Finnish Consul Kristina Mattila. Those interested in attending should RSVP no later than Jan. 19 to jane.berryman@raymondjames.com.
