I am pleased to invite you to attend the next meeting of the New York area’s Travelers’ Century Club on Saturday, April 26, at noon.
Guest Dr. Elzbieta Schrader will share with us her trip to Mesopotamia, modern-day Iraq. Among others, her presentation will include Baghdad and destinations to the north and south. Her visit included ancient monasteries, shrines and churches, as well as tombs, palaces, caves and marshes.
Joe Rapaport found our complementary restaurant: Ravagh Persian Grill at 11 East 30th Street between Fifth and Madison avenues. The cost is $38 including tax and tip. Please bring the exact amount in cash to the restaurant.
Have a firm reservation to me by April 20.
A summer meeting set for June 28 will feature a program about Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Details to come.
