We are excited about our Oct. 19 meeting at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. at noon. The speaker will be the director of the sister cities program for the City of Phoenix. Lunch will be provided thanks to the generosity of some of our members: Dedrie and I are covering the admission fees for nonmembers of the botanical garden. About 22 members will be attend at our private room. Members are free to explore the garden before and after the meeting. We will have a birthday cake celebrating the TCC’s 60th anniversary. The next meetings will probably be in January and April, followed by an informal get-together in July.
