The TCC United Kingdom Chapter held its spring 2015 meeting at the Doggetts Coat and Badge pub, South Bank, London, on Sunday, May 10. Our group included UK-based members and guests as well David Langan from Ireland. We recognised Thomas Morris’ achievement of travelling to 200 TCC countries.
The group enjoyed the outdoor terrace and had a general catch-up on members’ latest travels. We were also treated to a fly-past of the Red Arrows in commemoration of VE Day, recognising the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe. For those not familiar with the UK, the Red Arrows are the Royal Air Force’s aerobatic team. David Langan was quick with his camera and has shared a photo of the Red Arrows directly overhead. It also proves that London does have the occasional sunny day.
For our next meeting, we will be in Prague for the weekend of Sept. 18-20 as guests of TCC members Jiri and Irena Prasil. We have also decided to return to the RAC for a Christmas meeting in early December. A follow-up email will be sent out to all members and attendees soon with further details for both meetings.
Best regards,
Donna Marsh,
Area Coordinator, TCC UK
