The Kansas City chapter had two programs at its Sept. 25 meeting, according to Steve Fuller, Area Coordinator. Lanny Brewer talked and showed slides about his four-month stay in Argentina last winter. Professor Mike Wood presented an interesting program on the Black Mambas, a group of South African women who fight animal poaching. The meeting convened 30 minutes earlier, at 11 a.m., to give members additional time to converse, and it was agreed that future meetings should begin at this time. Mrs. Don Crowe correctly answered the trivia question, which was, “What is the only country with a rifle on its national flag?” The answer is Mozambique.
The next Kansas City meeting is at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, with 2016 meetings scheduled on March 25, June 24 and Sept. 30. All are at the Trezo Mare restaurant.
