Following their marathon run in Pyongyang, North Korea, in April, TCC President Gloria McCoy and TCC Kansas City Coordinator Steve Fuller were in Beijing. While there, they met with TCC’s first mainland China member, Arthur Wei Zhang, to discuss the possibility of establishing a chapter in China. Though there is a lot of optimism in establishing such a chapter, there are a number of hurdles that would first need to be overcome.
Steve reports that the North Korea marathon began and ended in the recently-renovated 150,000-capacity May Day Stadium, the largest operating stadium in the world. We’re sure that Gloria and Steve will have much more to share in person or at a future TCC meeting.
