The TCC Kansas City Chapter met on Dec. 2 at Trezo Mare Restaurant. Approximately 25 guests were entertained by Bob and Susan Hiatt. They talked of several trips they’ve taken around the world, but in the context of unexpected pleasures coming from unfortunate circumstances. From a rainy day in Munich, to car problems in Croatia, they gave examples of trip highlights coming from misfortune. They made the program interactive by having the audience participate in recalling disappointments turning to high points.
The trivia question of the day asked: Where in Paris, other than an embassy, is the American flag flown daily? Answer: General Lafayette’s grave in Picpus Cemetery.
The next four meetings are set for: Fridays in 2017 at 11 a.m.: March 31, June 30, Sept. 29 and Dec. 1 at Trezo Mare Restaurant in the Briarcliff Cliff Center in Kansas City North, Missouri.
